HVBF Cloth Spec Sheet

The parameter sheet for horizontal vacuum belt filter cloth. Below is exactly what it contains and which sections are still waiting on confirmed mill values.

This document is not released yet. The structure is fixed and the sections below are written, but the parameter values are still being confirmed against the mill's own measurements. We are not publishing a datasheet with numbers we cannot stand behind. Request a copy and an engineer will send it when it is released, or will answer your specific parameter question directly in the meantime.

What is in the sheet

Nine sections. A status of UNKNOWN means the value exists as a property of the cloth but has not been confirmed in writing by the mill, so it is not printed anywhere yet.

Section What it states Status
Cloth family and construction Weave type and polymer options offered for horizontal vacuum belt service, described as a range rather than a single SKU. Pending mill confirmation
Pore size / micron rating Rating per cloth construction, with the method used to arrive at it stated alongside the figure. UNKNOWN
Air permeability Permeability per construction, in CFM, with the test pressure and the test method category printed next to every figure. UNKNOWN
Seam options Drawings of the seam types we fabricate — clipper, PAD, spiral and overlap — with what each one is chosen for. Drawing set in preparation
Width and length range The widths our looms produce and the endless-belt lengths we fabricate, stated as limits rather than as a claim about your machine. UNKNOWN
Chemical and temperature limits Resistance envelope per polymer. Where a limit depends on your slurry, the sheet says so instead of printing a single number. UNKNOWN
Edge treatment options Edge constructions available and which failure mode each one addresses. Pending mill confirmation
Quality checks before shipping Which checks every belt goes through before it is packed — the test categories are named, without invented standard numbers. In preparation
What we need from you The machine and old-cloth information required before any value in this sheet can be turned into a quotation. Written
Who it is for

Read this sheet if you are doing one of these

Re-specifying a belt that failed early

You need permeability and pore rating side by side with the seam and edge options, so you can see which variable you are actually changing.

Comparing an offer against your incumbent

You need the parameter list a serious offer should contain, so that a thin quotation is visible as a thin quotation.

Writing a purchase specification

You need the vocabulary — construction, rating, permeability, seam, edge, chemical envelope — in the order an engineer uses it.

Honest boundaries

What this sheet will not do

  • It will not select your cloth. A datasheet is a range of what can be built. Selection needs your slurry, your machine and your failure history.
  • It will not state a service life. Cloth life is duty-specific; we do not print a life figure as a product property.
  • It will not present industry averages as our values. Any parameter not confirmed by the mill is marked unconfirmed in the document itself.
  • It will not replace a machine check. Dimensions come from your old cloth, not from a catalogue.
Replacement cloth fabricated to your machine dimensions. Not an OEM spare part.
