Re-specifying a belt that failed early
You need permeability and pore rating side by side with the seam and edge options, so you can see which variable you are actually changing.
Comparing an offer against your incumbent
You need the parameter list a serious offer should contain, so that a thin quotation is visible as a thin quotation.
Writing a purchase specification
You need the vocabulary — construction, rating, permeability, seam, edge, chemical envelope — in the order an engineer uses it.
What this sheet will not do
- It will not select your cloth. A datasheet is a range of what can be built. Selection needs your slurry, your machine and your failure history.
- It will not state a service life. Cloth life is duty-specific; we do not print a life figure as a product property.
- It will not present industry averages as our values. Any parameter not confirmed by the mill is marked as not published in the document itself.
- It will not replace a machine check. Dimensions come from your old cloth, not from a catalogue.
